When Laurence Olivier award winning actress, Leanne Jones, star of the original West End cast of 'Hairspray' recently came to Poole on a National Tour, she took time out of her busy schedule to pay a special visit to Stagewise to meet Stagewise student, Summer Grant!
Summer, who attends Stagewise Poole, will be playing the role of Tracy Turnblad in the Hairspray section of Blockbusters - Stagewise' forthcoming show!
Leanne played Tracy in the West End production, alongside musical theatre legend, Michaell Ball. Leanne spent time with Summer, giving her some top tips on how to play the leading lady - so when Summer takes to the Lighthouse stage in June, she will be fully prepared!
