ANTHONY PREPARES FOR THE FLIGHT OF A LIFETIME
Congratulations to Stagewise student, Anthony Jenkins who is about to start rehearsals for the UK National Tour of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

Anthony, who attends workshops at our Poole branch, has recently finished playing Michael Banks in the UK National Tour of Mary Poppins. He was then chosen from hundreds of young performers to play Jeremy Potts in this smash hit musical, following in the footsteps of his brother Frazer's footsteps who played the same role in the 2007 National Tour.

We are sure Anthony will be truly scrumptious in this new role!

WOW - WHAT A YEAR!

A round up of 2009 – and what a year it was! As well as all of the excellent work our students have produced in their weekly workshops, Stagewise students were involved in some fantastic productions and projects throughout the year.

At Easter we took an exclusive look behind-the-scenes at BBC Television Centre. In May we staged our biggest production yet, IDOLS, which starred 150-talented Stagewise students! In July we popped on our flares in ABBAMANIA at the Pavilion Theatre. In the summer, it was hot when Stagewise students were invited back to appear at the Pier Theatre in THE HEAT IS ON starring Russ Spencer from Eurovision entry, SCOOCH and 80s pop sensation, Nathan Moore, together with Stagewise Principal, Ally Cox.

ALEX IN AFRICA

Stagewise Advanced Performers student, Alex Longman, was selected by her school to visit Ethiopia and work in the heart of the Addis Ababa slums. The school students provided educational supplies and worked closely with special needs children aged from 3 years and up.

The Stagewise Team packed Alex’s suitcases full of Stagewise t-shirts and baseball hats to give to those who were in need of an early Christmas present! Well done Alex for working so hard!
