SING

Stagewise students love to sing as part of their weekly 2-hour performance workshops.

We believe the sung voice is a powerful part of your potential as a performer.

Our workshops aim to provide you with an efficient and safe technique encouraging an individual and free singing voice. Workshops focus on breathing, diaphragmatic support, placement, projection, tone, tuning, and the ability to produce a consistent sound throughout the vocal range without a noticeable break between registers.

Solo singing concentrates on learning to act through song and the importance of vocal characterisation. Ensemble singing is essential for choral work and you will enjoy singing challenging and intricate harmonic structures.

You will have the chance to try song writing, microphone technique, recording and to sing and perform with live musicians.

You will have the opportunity to sing a wide range of material incorporating various styles of music including musical theatre, pop, rock, gospel, jazz and even opera!
